Founded in Long Beach, CA in 1973, Multiquip Inc. is a relative newcomer to the generator game; with the creation of MQ Power Solutions in 1985. With industry giants like Caterpillar (est. 1925) and Kohler (est. 1873) already being household names for many decades, MQ Power Solutions quickly made a place for itself by focusing on the construction and rental generator markets. MQ pairs its generators with engines from reputable manufacturers like Kubota, Isuzu, John Deere, and Cummins.

Although only a small segment of the huge array of construction equipment in the MQ catalog, the Power Solutions department offers everything from a 2.5 kW portable unit to the massive CG1500C2; a 1500 kW MQ generator paired with a 50.3 liter, turbocharged, aftercooled Cummins V-16 diesel engine in a 40ft sound attenuated container.

Impressed, I checked the forums to see what the general consensus was. I found nothing but favorable reviews, most of them praising the ultra-quiet Whisperwatt series of generators. High marks were also given for reliability and durability from the rental industry. In fact, used rental units are quite popular and in demand here at Woodstock Power.
