Woodstock Power Company is growing and we’re looking to add more members to our team.

We are currently hiring a seasoned Generator Technician at our Philadelphia, PA headquarters.

Woodstock Power Company specializes in buying, selling, and renting new and used generators for commercial and industrial applications.

Responsibilities:
– Perform routine generator service and maintenance
– Perform load bank tests on diesel, natural gas, and propane generators
– Ability to troubleshoot generator related electrical and mechanical problems
– Adjust and/or change voltage on generators based on project requirements
– Handle installation of control panels & voltage regulators, including rewiring and adjustments
– Handle incoming/outgoing shipments, including generator preparation
– Willing to teach, mentor, and train new hires to ease the on-boarding process
– Handle work orders and log work hours for system processing

Qualifications:
– The ideal candidate will have strong background experience in diesel & natural gas generators with in-depth industry knowledge, experience in the electrical industry is a plus
– Ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience working on industrial/commercial generators and generator related accessories
– Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on diesel, natural gas, and propane generator sets
– Excellent time management skills to meet service deadlines
– Well-versed in troubleshooting including testing breakers, paralleling generators, transformers, performing thermal scans
– Must be open to potentially working overtime, including evenings and weekends when needed
– Drivers license with clean driving record to visit customer sites for generator inspection, repairs, or preventative maintenance
– Skilled in handling heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and scissor lifts
– Experienced in work safety, including enforcing of all required work site safety protocols

Required Physical Qualifications:
– Standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders
– Lifting (up to 60 pounds)
– Carrying (up to 50 pounds)
– Pushing/pulling (up to 80 pounds)
– Steady hand coordination
– Outdoor work if required
– Able to wear up to 20 pounds of protective clothing, including fire resistant clothing, welding helmets with shield, and standard ANSI rated protective footwear when required
